THE FESTIVAL

Bad Freienwalde is a city near Berlin, located 60 km further north east. Visitors have the chance to take a bus to the festival area and back, a transport provided by Bad Freienwalde´s Festival organizers. It is known for its medicinal baths and beautiful old town, that is considered cultural heritage.

Every september, the city organizes a free festival in the oldtown, giving every European country a stage to present themselves.

This festival is a project supported by the European regional Development Fund.

THE OPEN STAGE REPRESENTING BERLIN

In Fall 2017 The Open Stage Berlin participated in Bad Freienwalde festival bringing in Berlin's cultural phenomena by presenting the bands of our own music video productions, local visual art and other amenities of the German metropole.

The Open Stage Berlin/Kopperkollektive is a group of people creating artistic video content and organizing cultural events. Our aim is to bring together the artists and the people. The Berlin Stage offers not only cultural view to Berlin, but also international highlights.

OUR STAGE

In Bad Freienwalde festival we created the Berlin Stage, which was hugely popular among the locals as we brought to them the variety of art and urban style of Berlin city. The Berlin Stage offered a stage with unique light design and sound system on which the musicians performed to a great audience.

Street artists from Berlin took their visual ideas to the streets of the “Altstad”. The younger visitors were also given a chance to join our graffiti and painting workshops, organized by the graffiti artists Fonso & Xuehka. The “Altstad” streets were also taken over by various street musicians that regularly play on Berlin's famous streets and areas. A mapping installation was projected on the wall of a building by the Italian mapping artist Tiziano Mirabella.

BAR & STREET FOOD

Close to the stage was a bar and street food stall organized by our crew.
